How It Works

The Science

My Solar Oven harnesses the same greenhouse effect that heats a car on a sunny day — but engineered for real cooking. Reflector panels concentrate sunlight into the cooking chamber, where the black anodized aluminum interior absorbs and converts that energy into heat.

The result: temperatures of 400–425°F or higher in summer conditions, with no fuel, no electricity, and no propane! That's hot enough to bake bread, roast chicken, cook casseroles, or slow-simmer soups and stews. If you can cook it in a conventional oven, you can cook it in My Solar Oven.

Why My Solar Oven Works

Every component is purpose-built for performance. Extra-clear, low-iron tempered glass maximizes sunlight penetration while a durable silicone gasket creates an airtight seal that locks heat in. Food-grade fiberglass insulation sits between the ABS outer shell and the black anodized aluminum cooking chamber to keep that heat where it belongs.

A self-leveling rack keeps your cookware flat at any sun angle, a built-in thermometer lets you monitor your cook without opening the door, and the Quick Align tool takes the guesswork out of aiming at the sun.
