Return & Refund Policy

Thank you for purchasing from My Solar Oven. We stand behind the quality of our products, which is why every solar oven is backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Due to the size, weight, and shipping costs associated with our products, we maintain a strict return policy. Please review the following terms carefully before making your purchase.


Return Eligibility

Returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery, subject to all of the following conditions:

  • The product must be unused, unassembled, and in its original condition.
  • The product must be in its complete original packaging, including all accessories, documentation, reflectors, trays, and any other included components.
  • You must provide your order number and reason for return when requesting a return.

Products that have been used, assembled, cooked with, or show any signs of use—including soot, food residue, sun exposure marks, or wear—are not eligible for return and will be refused.

How to Request a Return

To initiate a return, contact us through the Contact page at MySolarOven.com within 30 days of delivery. Please include your order number and the reason for your return. Do not ship a product back without first obtaining a Return Authorization. Unauthorized returns will be refused at the fulfillment center.

Return Shipping

All return shipping costs are the sole responsibility of the customer. You are responsible for arranging and paying for return shipment to our fulfillment center in Wisconsin. We recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance, as My Solar Oven is not responsible for returned items that are lost, stolen, or damaged in transit. Returns that arrive at our facility in damaged condition due to inadequate packaging will not be accepted.

Restocking Fee

All approved returns are subject to a $45.00 restocking fee, which will be deducted from your refund. This fee covers the cost of inspecting, repackaging, and restocking the returned product.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected at our fulfillment center, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method, less the $45.00 restocking fee, within 10 business days of approval. Please allow additional time for your bank or payment provider to process the credit.

If your return is rejected because the product does not meet the eligibility requirements above, we will notify you and may offer to ship the product back to you at your expense. If you decline, the product will be forfeited.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please return your original order in accordance with this policy and place a new order.

Non-Returnable Items

The following are not eligible for return or refund under this policy:

  • Products that have been used, assembled, or cooked with
  • Products not in their complete original packaging
  • Products returned without a valid Return Authorization
  • Products damaged due to misuse, neglect, accidents, or failure to follow the Owner's Manual
  • Products returned after 30 days from the date of delivery
  • Gift cards or promotional items

Damaged or Defective Products

If your product arrives damaged during shipping or has a manufacturing defect, please contact us through the Contact page at MySolarOven.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the damage or defect. Shipping damage and manufacturing defect claims are handled separately from standard returns and are not subject to the restocking fee.

Warranty Claims

My Solar Oven products are backed by a limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. Warranty claims are separate from this Return & Refund Policy and are not subject to the 30-day return window. To file a warranty claim, contact us at MySolarOven.com with your proof of purchase, a description of the issue, and photos of the defect. A customer support representative will guide you through the claims process. The warranty does not cover damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, unauthorized modifications, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow the care and usage instructions provided with the product. Cosmetic changes such as discoloration of interior surfaces or scratching of reflector panels from normal use are not considered defects. Cancellations

If you wish to cancel an order before it has shipped, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate cancellation requests, but orders that have already entered fulfillment or been shipped cannot be cancelled and will be subject to this Return & Refund Policy.
